Join Preservation Detroit in celebrating the Freep Film Festival’s 3rd year and learn more about the rich movie palace history in the city of Detroit. Choose from one of two tour times, where a guide will lead you on a walking tour of some of Detroit’s famous movie palaces and theatres, including the United Artists Theatre, Michigan Theatre, Telenews Theatre, Detroit Opera House, Music Hall and more. At the end of the walking tour, you will get a chance to go behind the scenes in one of Detroit’s historic theatres, the Fillmore! Total tour time will be about 2-2.5 hours.
Tours will begin and end at the Fillmore Theatre, located at 2115 Woodward Ave, Detroit, Michigan 48201, starting at 12:00pm and 12:30pm. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20, but to guarantee your spot, it’s best to get your ticket now!
As an added bonus, online ticket purchases will include a discount code to the screenings of “The Dying of the Light” and “Parducci” at the Detroit Historical Museum on Sunday April 3.

About the Freep Film Festival
The third edition of Freep Film Festival arrives March 31-April 3, and will be held at a variety of Detroit venues, including the Fillmore Detroit, the Detroit Institute of Arts, Cinema Detroit, Emagine Theatres Royal Oak, Third Man Records and Detroit Historical Museum.
The majority of film screenings and related events will be $10 apiece. Unless noted, tickets will be sold through the venue.
