The community benefits ordinance process for the Monroe Block (which includes the National Theatre) and Book Tower projects begins this Monday, Aug. 21 at 5:30 pm with a public meeting at Coleman A. Young Municipal Center. This meeting is geared toward downtown residents but open to the public and comments / questions will be heard.
Do you live downtown? If you do, and want to have a say in how this development project moves forward, please contact us to get involved.
You can see images of the National Theater on the Monroe Block, as well as the rest of the formerly vibrant block on the Historic Detroit site. The site in general is a wonderful resource of Detroit history.
