New Logo, New Website, and a New Home
Today we launch our new logo, as well as our new website. As you may know, Preservation Detroit recently moved out of our long-time headquarters at the Mackenzie House on campus at Wayne State University. In honor of the house that is so closely associated with our organization, we've incorporated it into our new logo. The serif font used for "Preservation" is meant to evoke the past, and the modern sans serif font of "Detroit" is meant to evoke the future.
Our new office space is in the Bethel Community Transformation Center on Woodward in the Piety Hill/North End area of Detroit. The former home of the Temple Beth El congregation is now managed by the interfaith Bethel Community Transformation organization. The organization is renovating the Albert Kahn-designed space with a structured renovation plan, which you can see here. One of their means of fundraising is to utilize the many vacant rooms in the building by leasing office space to diverse local organizations, including Preservation Detroit.

In addition to our new logo and new office, we also have a new website, which you are on right now! The website address is the same as before. Feel free to check out the navigation links at the top. You'll find that all the important things are still there, only reorganized. We've refreshed the site to make it more concise, while still giving us a space for advocacy.
